Re: Awaiting connection all the time
Maybe you have the ET client messed? There are nothing mentioned in the logs with your name trying to connect. I almost forgot. The forum is at the same address too. So would be weird if it was network error.

Re: Awaiting connection all the time
I have checked, there is nothing that would prevent connections on the server. No such firewall rule and no such et server setting. However, you should be able to ping the server normally.

Re: Awaiting connection all the time
Indeed. That IP is close. I don't have it though. My trace doesn't go through it.
EDIT:
dammit. So many wrong IP addresses. So, works as expected for me. Ignore previous "EDIT"s if you have seen them. Wrong IP.

Re: History of Wolfenstein
Huh. The the latter ET part was recorded with silEnT mod. That is a nice thing. Though, I think there was one wolfenstein PC game that was missing from the history, before the 3D era. Not sure about it though.

PC-BSD 10.0 Released
PC-BSD 10.0 has been released http://blog.pcbsd.org/2014/01/pc-bsd-10-0-release-is-now-available/ Little forewarning to interested laptop users though. The NVIDIA Optimus! does not work yet. The kernel of the FreeBSD 10, which is the base system of the PC-BSD, is still missing some parts for it. But...

Re: DNS server configuration changed
Very unfortunate mess up from the provider. Even today I got asked why the website is down. Apparently, on top of making the domain point to the provider website, the provider website is using such rewrite rules to the URL that it will get stored to the browser temporary files. Even after the DNS co...

Re: Open FTP by default in some of Asus routers
That article didn't include enough information to decide one or the other. It is vulnerability if applying non default configuration that would prevent this, is trickier then what the large majority of the users would be able to do intuitively. In other words, when enabling, does the configuration t...

Backdoor in AMD's Catalyst driver?

Maybe just some debugging functionalities. Would be rather bad name if it was a real backdoor.

Indeed. Additionally, some people may have to delete temporary files from their browser cache. Even though the IP didn't change.

DNS server configuration changed
DNS server configuration changed today. If you had problems finding the server, that is the reason for it. Unfortunately, I wasn't available to fix it sooner. Some people might not have that issue at all. It will correct to everyone within less then 24 hours.

Re: Backdoor found from various Linksys and Netgear routers
These kind of hard coded administrator passwords etc. are practically found in most modems and routers. Unfortunately.
Also, there are exploitable backdoors in some high end firewalls as well.
