Hi,
you might experience ET crashing while trying to connect to the server with N!tmod 1.6 installed. Most likely this is a version issue of your installed ET, you need 2.60d. So,
- check your version (open console, on the right it should be indicated)
- if necessary, download the 2.60d patch from here: http://www.wolfmap.de/details.php?file_id=1944
- change to /Applications/Wolfenstein ET and backup Wolfenstein ET.app and the etmain directory
- from the downloaded file, place Wolfenstein ET.app in the current working directory and qagame_mac in the etmain folder
That's is, your version should be updated and run properly now.
If you get funny stuff like
2010-06-10 00:00:00.000 Wolfenstein ET[799:10b] Error loading /Users/jamesplock/Library/Caches/TemporaryItems/etmain/ui_mac.bundle/Contents/MacOS/ui_mac: dlopen(/Users/jamesplock/Library/Caches/TemporaryItems/etmain/ui_mac.bundle/Contents/MacOS/ui_mac, 262): no suitable image found. Did find:
/Users/jamesplocl/Library/Caches/TemporaryItems/etmain/ui_mac.bundle/Contents/MacOS/ui_mac: mach-o, but wrong architecture
just remove the ~/Library/Caches/TemporaryItems/etmain/ folder
Cheers,
jp

Re: N!tmod 1.6 on Mac OS X
To further clarify the patches.
The 2.60b is PPC version
The 2.60d (2.60b4) is i386 version.
If you want to play etpro, you will need to use the 2.60b. That will not work with d patch and the development of etpro was seized a long ago.
It may be that the N!tmod will have the PPC version of the client, but that is not certain yet. For now, luckily, most users use Intel Macs and therefore, it will work good with the d-patch.
Full Mac OSX installation of 2.60d:

I have heard that the 2.60b lags really bad compared to d so maybe it's a good thing if you need to patch your ET :P

EDIT:
Changed the topic to Enemy Territory on Mac OSX because the thread has more generalized information even though it has N!tmod relevant info also.
