Kill it with fire

Is there any particular reason why those killed with fire (=flamethrower) can be revived? On most servers/mods I played, fire had the benefit of auto-gibbing those killed by it (which added an extra strategic element).

i asked that myself too. it's even not easy to gib them with fire
gibbing at all is tough sometimes except you can walk over him with the knife in hands
