A lot of people is asking why their xp wont save and how to fix it.
Maybe someone who knows this can take the time to post a guide on how to enable it?
That way, i wont be a liar when i tell them to go check the forum for answers (i couldnt find anything here).

what i recall you need to enable punkbuster or something...gao knows the command :P

plus you have to check that you got etkey file

They only need to connect to a server with punkbuster enabled once to get a GUID. Also, they need to be sure they have the punkbuster enabled in the client.

I had some players who had this xp-save problem to.
After each map there xp was gone.

This problem happens always when the player doesn't have a punkbuster GUID. So the player needs to do 2 things for the XP to save. 1. They need to make sure PunkBuster is enbaled in the client side. 2. After installing ET, they need to at least once connect to a server where there is server side PunkBuster to get themselves a valid PBGUID.

SLAC is forcing the PunkBuster off so players who play on SLAC servers may commonly encounter this problem.

For Himalia players, the Himalia TDM server is good place to connect to solve the problem. 81.22.249.50:27960. Also sfs clan has many servers with PunkBuster enabled.

Yes the problems happand when we had Punkbuster off for some weeks.
Some had it, but where kicked by Punkbuster for old Punkbuster versions.
Those players have to update there Punkbuster files.
A good way to do this is with this tool.
